Alexia Green appointed as reviewer, Louisiana’s Nightingale Awards and as a grant reviewer for Proposal Evaluation for Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners’ Patient Safety Pilot Program.

Alexia Green was elected to the American Nurses Association Political Action Committee and also serves on the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Governmental Affairs Committee.

Barbara Johnston contributed to a national report by the U.S. Pharmacopeia entitled “A National Database for Hospital Medication Error Reporting”, where she also serves as on a national advisory committee on safe medication administration.

Barbara Johnston chaired a team of educator consultants for the Louisiana Board of Higher Education regarding implementation of a distance Master’s Program in Nursing by a consortium of universities.

Emily Merrill appointed to the National Health Service Corps as an Ambassador for TTUHSC. 

Heather Morris passed national certification examination as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Donna Scott-Tilley selected as Mortar Board member.

School of Nursing received the Highest Participation Award for the 2002 State Employee Charitable Campaign.
